Xinjiang University of Political Science and Law is a public undergraduate university located in Tumushuke, a city administered by the Third Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in southern Xinjiang. It was established in 2021 through the merger and restructuring of the science-and-technology college of Shihezi University and the Corps police college, with earlier roots reaching back to a cadre school founded in 1984. The university specializes in law, public administration and public-security disciplines and is affiliated with the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. It trains legal and administrative professionals for the development and governance of southern Xinjiang.
