Jiangsu Ocean University in Lianyungang, founded in 1985, is a university specialised in marine science and engineering on the coast of northern Jiangsu. Its strengths lie in marine science, ocean engineering, fisheries, food science and pharmacy from marine resources. It serves the port and marine economy of the eastern end of the New Eurasian Land Bridge. Its campus lies in the coastal city of Lianyungang.
