Hechi University is a public undergraduate institution located in Yizhou District of Hechi, Guangxi. Tracing its history to 1951, it was upgraded to a comprehensive undergraduate university in 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Guangxi government. The university has strong roots in teacher education and the humanities, and serves the mountainous ethnic-minority regions of northwestern Guangxi.
