Xinxiang Institute of Engineering is a private full-time undergraduate institution in Xinxiang, the industrial city north of the Yellow River in northern Henan. It was created in 2003 as the Xinke College of the Henan Institute of Science and Technology, the independent college of Xinxiang's public agricultural-and-technical university, and after the national reform of independent colleges it converted in 2021 into a free-standing private school under the present name, run by the Xinxiang Xintou industrial company. The institute operates three campuses in the city — south, north and a science-park campus — and organises a dozen teaching colleges offering 43 bachelor programmes alongside ten associate-degree tracks. The catalogue leans towards applied engineering and technology, reflecting both its new name and the manufacturing base of Xinxiang, while the agricultural-science lineage of its former parent survives in food, biology and related programmes, and economics, management, education and arts tracks round out the offering. As one of several former independent colleges in Henan that converted in the same wave, it competes for the province's vast pool of undergraduate applicants with an employment-first pitch. Teaching is in Chinese and enrolment is domestic.
