📖 About the university
Zhengzhou Police College was founded in Beijing in 1950 and relocated to Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, in 1980, and for decades it operated under China's Ministry of Railways before being transferred to the Ministry of Public Security in 2000. In 2013 the Ministry of Education approved it to independently run full-time undergraduate education under the name Railway Police College, it gained authorization to confer bachelor's degrees in 2017, and in 2023 it was renamed Zhengzhou Police College, reflecting a broadening of its mission beyond railway policing alone. The college is directly affiliated with China's Ministry of Public Security and operates across two campuses in Zhengzhou, the Nonglu Road campus and the Longhu campus, together covering more than 1,000 mu of land with over 200,000 square metres of floor space. It offers five undergraduate majors alongside three higher-vocational specialties, with a historical focus on training police personnel for China's railway public security system, an area in which it remains a leading national institution. Zhengzhou Police College continues to serve as a key training ground for law-enforcement officers in Henan and for railway and transport-security specialists nationwide.

🌆 About Zhengzhou
Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan province and a major transportation hub at the crossroads of China's north-south and east-west railway lines, sitting on the southern bank of the Yellow River in the historic heartland of Chinese civilization. It has a temperate continental monsoon climate with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters, and it lies close to ancient sites such as the Shang dynasty city ruins and the Shaolin Temple in nearby Dengfeng. As one of China's fastest-growing inland cities, Zhengzhou has developed a large electronics manufacturing and logistics economy, anchored by major smartphone assembly plants, alongside a growing higher-education sector serving one of China's most populous provinces. The city is known for Henan cuisine, its central-plains dialect and culture, and its role as a gateway to Henan's rich concentration of historical and archaeological sites. Zhengzhou is connected by an extensive high-speed rail network and an international airport, making it one of the best-linked cities in central China.
