📖 About the university

Sichuan Institute of Industrial Technology is a private engineering-oriented undergraduate university in Deyang, a manufacturing and heavy-machinery city in central Sichuan Province, with campuses in Luojiang and the Xinshi development area of Mianzhu. It grew from a private secondary vocational school and became a private higher vocational college in 2004, operating first as Sichuan Jing'an Vocational College and then as Sichuan Industrial Management Vocational College, before being upgraded to an applied undergraduate university. The university enrols more than 16,000 students and is organised into twelve schools spanning intelligent manufacturing and vehicle engineering, civil engineering, electronic information and computer engineering, finance and economics, management, food, sport, education, nursing, aviation and international programmes. Reflecting Deyang's industrial base, it is an engineering-led institution with coordinated development in economics, management, education, law and literature. Deyang lies on the Chengdu plain in central Sichuan, a modern industrial city and part of the Chengdu metropolitan region.
