📖 About the university

Shaanxi Institute of Fashion Engineering is a private undergraduate university in the Xi'an-Xianyang metropolitan area of Shaanxi Province, with its main campus in the Fengxi New City of the Xixian New Area and a second campus in Sanyuan County near Xianyang. Founded in 1994 as the Shaanxi Clothing Further-Education College, it became a higher vocational college in 2002 and was approved by the Ministry of Education to offer undergraduate education under its present name in 2011, gaining bachelor's degree-granting authority in 2015. The university is organised into around ten teaching schools and departments and offers roughly twenty-seven undergraduate programmes, with fashion and clothing engineering and design as its defining specialities. Set within the Guanzhong Plain around the ancient capital region, it combines a strong applied-arts identity with programmes in information engineering, economics, management, media and education. Its core strengths lie in fashion design and engineering, art and design, clothing technology and media arts.
