📖 About the university

Sichuan College of Architectural Technology is a full-time public higher-vocational college affiliated with the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with campuses in Deyang and in the Qingbaijiang district of Chengdu. It originated from the Chengdu City Construction Engineering School established in 1956, which was renamed and relocated to Deyang in 1963 and later became the Sichuan Provincial Building Engineering School. In 2001 the provincial government merged that school with the Sichuan Provincial Building Workers' University and the Sichuan Provincial Urban Construction School to establish Sichuan College of Architectural Technology, which in 2003 absorbed the workers' university of the Second Heavy Machinery Group. The college is organised into around fifteen teaching units, including the Departments of Architectural Engineering, Architecture and Art, Transportation and Municipal Engineering, Railway Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Information Engineering and Economics and Management, offering more than sixty programmes concentrated in civil engineering, construction and transport. A national demonstrative and high-level (double-high) college, it is one of China's leading vocational institutions for building and civil-engineering education. As an applied vocational college it enrols primarily domestic students and does not currently advertise a dedicated Chinese-language pathway for international applicants.
