The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a public research university located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui province, founded in 1958 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and later relocated from Beijing to Hefei. It is a member of the C9 League and is included in Project 985, Project 211, and the Double First-Class initiative, and it is celebrated as one of China's premier institutions for the natural sciences.
