Nanyang Normal University, founded in 1951, is a teacher-training university in the historic city of Nanyang in southwest Henan, birthplace of the strategist Zhuge Liang. It trains teachers across the humanities, sciences, education and the arts, and is noted for research into the rich history and Han culture of the Nanyang basin.
