Qingdao Binhai University is a private undergraduate university in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, established in 1992. In 2005 it became one of the first two private undergraduate institutions in Shandong. The university offers a broad range of programs, with particular characteristics in medicine and nursing, alongside engineering, business, foreign languages and communication. Its campus is well known for a large natural-history and taxidermy art museum, and it enrolls tens of thousands of full-time students.
