Anhui Jianzhu University, founded in 1958, is the only higher-education institution in Anhui province centred on architecture and the built environment. Its defining strengths are architecture, civil engineering, urban and rural planning and environmental engineering, with a special focus on the conservation of Anhui's famous Hui-style traditional architecture.
