The Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in Hangzhou, established in 2016, is one of China's newest independent music conservatories and already among its most modern. Purpose-built beside Zhuantang near the West Lake, it offers performance, composition, conducting, musicology, music education, dance and musical theatre in state-of-the-art facilities. Backed by wealthy, culturally minded Zhejiang, it has quickly recruited strong faculty and built exchanges with leading conservatories worldwide. Its beautiful campus and location in a rich cultural city make it a distinctive place to study. Zhejiang Conservatory welcomes international students seeking a modern conservatory environment in eastern China.
