📖 About the university

Kaili University is a public undergraduate university located in Kaili City, the capital of the Southeastern Guizhou Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province. It originated from Qiandongnan University established in 1958 and was upgraded to a full general undergraduate university with approval from the Ministry of Education in 2006. After its promotion the university completed the construction of a new campus and passed the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching evaluations in 2010 and 2015. It offers around 50 undergraduate majors along with ethnic minority preparatory courses, including provincial-level first-class and characteristic programs. Set in one of China's most ethnically diverse regions, the university is distinctive for its teacher education and its research and teaching on Miao and Dong ethnic culture, music and dance. Kaili University admits international students and offers Chinese-language study for learners in China.
