📖 About the university

Xinjiang Arts University is a public comprehensive arts university in Urumqi, established in 1958, and is one of only a handful of comprehensive art universities in China and the only one in the north-west. It offers a full range of arts disciplines, including music, fine arts, dance, film and media, and design, and draws on the rich multi-ethnic artistic traditions of Xinjiang. The university is active in international arts cooperation, including membership of the China–ASEAN and Europe–Asia arts education alliances, and it offers Chinese-language study for international students.
