📖 About the university
Tongda College of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications is a private undergraduate independent college in Yangzhou, a historic canal city in central Jiangsu Province long celebrated for its gardens and cuisine. It was founded in 1999 by Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, a Double First-Class discipline university at the heart of China's information industry; in 2012, under a provincial plan to optimise higher-education distribution, the college moved to Yangzhou in cooperation with the municipal government. Located on an 893-mu campus in the Yangzijin science and education park by the Yizheng River, it draws directly on its parent university's strong disciplines and close ties to the information and communications industry. The college is organised into schools covering communication engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, the Internet of Things, economics and management, and media and arts. It emphasises an integrated model of theory, practical training and employment, including a photovoltaic industry college jointly built with a solar-energy company. Its core strengths lie in communication engineering, electronic information engineering, computer science and the Internet of Things. It suits students aiming for careers in telecommunications, electronics and information technology.

🌆 About Yangzhou
Yangzhou is a refined historic city in Jiangsu province on the Grand Canal, celebrated for centuries for its gardens, cuisine, and cultured way of life. With a metropolitan population of around 4.5 million, it was once one of China's wealthiest cities as a salt-trade and canal hub, and it retains an elegant, unhurried character. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and cool, damp winters. Its landmarks include the graceful Slender West Lake, the ancient Daming Temple, and the classical Geyuan and Heyuan gardens. Yangzhou lends its name to the world-famous Yangzhou fried rice and is renowned for delicate Huaiyang cuisine, including crab-roe soup buns and finely shredded dazhugansi tofu. Yangzhou has no metro, but its own airport and high-speed rail station connect it to Nanjing and Shanghai. For an international student, Yangzhou offers a peaceful, beautiful, and affordable setting steeped in classical Chinese culture, within easy reach of the larger Yangtze Delta cities.
