Traveller notes

Opened in April 1901 when the western section of the Chinese Eastern Railway (today's Binzhou railway) reached Zhalantun, it was one of only eight third-class stations on the entire line at the time. The old 1902 station building is one of the few original structures still standing along that historic line; the current building dates from 1989 and covers about 3,098 square meters. Today the station handles over 4,000 boarding, alighting and transferring passengers a day.
