The station is about 7 km from downtown; there is no metro, so a taxi/Didi or a connecting bus is recommended given the distance.

Traveller notes
Construction began in September 2012 and Wuchuan Station opened for passenger service on 1 July 2018, becoming the first high-speed station completed on the Guangzhou–Zhanjiang line. On 14 January 2025 a new, larger station building (about 9,980 sqm, 3 platforms/9 tracks) replaced the original one. It is also served by the Shenzhen–Zhanjiang railway.
