Turpan has no metro. The HSR station is outside town near Jiaohe Airport. Use a taxi or bus (about 15–20 min) to the centre.

HSR station for Turpan, famous for its heat, grapes, and the Jiaohe and Gaochang ancient ruins. Opened 2014. Uyghur halal food available.

🔄 Getting from the station to the airport

Turpan Jiaohe Airport (TLQ) is right next to Turpan North Railway Station, only a few hundred metres away. A free shuttle bus connects the two in about 10 minutes, and there is also a signposted walkway (about 1.2 km, roughly 10-15 minutes). A short taxi ride costs about ¥30. This is one of the easiest station-to-airport transfers in China.
