The station is very close to town: about 1.6 km from Dukezong Old Town, about 1.7 km from the Diqing prefecture government seat and about 2.4 km from Diqing Shangri-La Airport. No metro; use a taxi or bus.

Traveller notes

Opened on 26 November 2023 with the Lijiang–Shangri-La railway; it is the line's terminus and, when built, the highest passenger station on Yunnan's rail network. The line cut Kunming–Shangri-La journey time to about 4.5 hours. Altitude is high (over 3,000 m) — acclimatise slowly and drink plenty of water.
