The station sits on the Xikang and Xihe railways linking Xi'an with Henan across the Qinling Mountains. A newer station, Shangluo West in Yangyuhe town, serves the Xi'an–Shiyan high-speed line, but regular Shangluo Station remains closer to the city centre.
