🚇 To & from the city centre
Part of the Hongqiao transport hub next to Hongqiao Airport. Served by metro lines 2, 10 and 17; Line 2 runs directly to the city centre and the Bund. Taxis and buses available around the clock.
- Line 2 Hongqiao Railway Station (虹桥火车站)
- Line 10 Hongqiao Railway Station (虹桥火车站)
- Line 17 Hongqiao Railway Station (虹桥火车站)
One of East China's largest HSR hubs, linking most major cities and integrated directly with Hongqiao International Airport. Lanzhou-style halal Muslim noodle outlets are found in the food courts; allow extra time as the terminal is huge.
🔄 Getting from the station to the airport
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) shares the Hongqiao Transport Hub with the railway station and is just one stop away on Metro Line 2 or Line 10, about 5-10 minutes for ¥3; you can even walk between them inside the hub, effectively a free connection.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) lies far to the east. Metro Line 2 runs direct from Hongqiao but takes about 100 minutes for ¥8; the new Airport Link Line from Hongqiao Hub reaches Pudong in about 40 minutes and is much faster. A taxi takes 60-75 minutes for ¥180-220.
