Opened in 2009 with the launch of the Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou railway, and from 2020 rebuilt to also handle the Hangzhou-Taizhou high-speed line, expanding to 4 platforms and 10 tracks after renovation. Linhai is a historic walled city, its ramparts likened to a miniature Great Wall.
