Lingbao has no metro. The station sits a short drive outside the old town center; local buses and taxis/Didi wait outside to reach downtown Lingbao or neighboring Lushi County.

Opened on 6 February 2010 with the launch of the Zhengzhou–Xi'an passenger-dedicated line, it is a third-class station with two side platforms. It mainly serves travelers from Lingbao and neighboring Lushi County, and makes a convenient gateway for visiting the nearby historic Hangu Pass site.
