Built in 1961 on the Shanghai–Kunming railway, it handles both passengers and heavy freight; Lengshuijiang is nicknamed the 'world's antimony capital' for its mining industry, and the station moves large volumes of coal and antimony ore. Its facade was renovated in December 2025.
