On the Beijing–Harbin high-speed railway, about 303 km from Harbin West and 75 km from provincial capital Changchun, this is a key link between Heilongjiang and Jilin. An older conventional Gongzhuling Railway Station (built 1901) also exists on the conventional Beijing–Harbin line.
