🚇 To & from the city centre
Dunhuang has no metro. The station is built in caravanserai style and sits outside the town. Use a taxi or city bus (about 20 min) into the centre.
Gateway to the Mogao Caves and the Singing Sand Dunes (Crescent Lake). Small station with two platforms. Book early in summer season. Halal food available.
🔄 Getting from the station to the airport
Dunhuang Mogao International Airport (DNH) is only about 1.7 km from Dunhuang Railway Station, roughly a 5-10 minute drive. A taxi costs about ¥30-40. There is no fixed-schedule public bus between the two, as buses run only around flight times, so a taxi (or a hotel pickup) is the simplest choice.
