Dali has no metro. The station sits in Xiaguan (the new city), about 15 km south of the historic Dali Old Town; take Bus 8, a tourist coach, or a taxi (about ¥50, 30 minutes) to reach the Old Town.

Traveller notes

This is Dali's main railway station (conventional and high-speed trains); despite being about 15 km away, it is also the station most visitors use to reach Dali Old Town and Erhai Lake. Halal food is available (Yunnan's Hui community).
