The Jiyang Alley Mosque is the principal mosque of the Hui community in Xichang, capital of Liangshan Prefecture. Muslims have lived in Xichang since the Yuan and Ming eras; the city's earliest mosque was built in 1369, and the mosque was later relocated to Jiyang Alley during the Ming, where it became established.
