📜 About & history
The Tuqiao Lower Mosque, on Jinniuba Road in Jinniu District, is the older of the two Tuqiao mosques, built during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing dynasty (the 1730s). Together with the Upper Mosque it served the Hui farming community of the Tuqiao area on Chengdu's northwest fringe. It is one of the five mosques counted in Chengdu's urban districts, alongside the Huangcheng, Gulou South Street, Tuqiao Upper and Fenghuangshan mosques. It continues as a neighbourhood congregational mosque.
