📜 About & history
Known as the 'City Area Mosque,' this is the principal mosque in Shiyan, an industrial city in Hubei known for automobile manufacturing. Shiyan also has several smaller mosques serving pockets of its Hui community across the city, including a women's mosque on Xicheng Road, the Xixiang Mosque, and the Maping Grand Mosque. This pattern of multiple small mosques reflects how the Hui community historically settled across several neighborhoods of Shiyan rather than concentrating around one large mosque.
