📜 About & history
The Qiyimen Mosque, also known as the Qiyi Street Mosque, stands just outside the historic Qiyimen city gate in Wuchang and was built during the Tongzhi reign of the Qing dynasty. It records the history of Wuchang's Hui community, who settled around the old south gate of the city. The mosque was repaired several times over the following century and remains one of Wuhan's three surviving mosques. It is listed among Wuchang District's registered immovable cultural relics.

The mosque holds the five daily prayers, with the main congregational Friday (Jumu'ah) prayer around midday. Times shift with the seasons, so confirm on arrival.

- Line 5 Qiyimen （起义门）
Several city buses stop near Shouyi Road / Qiyi Street; ask for the Qiyimen (起义门) stop.
Arabic-speaking visitors: the mosque is beside the landmark Qiyimen gate, easy to reach by Metro Line 5; show a taxi driver the Chinese name below.
From central Wuchang take Metro Line 5 to Qiyimen station; the mosque is a short walk along Qiyi Street toward the old city gate.
