The Qiaomen (Bridge Gate) Grand Mosque stands in the Hui quarter of Qiaomen Lane, just south of the historic Zhongshan Iron Bridge over the Yellow River. Tradition holds that a simple mosque existed here in the Ming dynasty; the present congregation was established in the Kangxi reign (1662–1722) and expanded to its grand form in 1722 through the efforts of Liu Boyang and his son. It is designated a provincial-level cultural heritage site and is one of the six great mosques of old Lanzhou. Its riverside location beside Zhongshan Bridge makes it a familiar landmark.
🕌 Prayer & visiting
Five daily prayers and Friday Jumu'ah (midday) are held; wudu facilities are available. Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered; headscarf for women) and remove shoes before entering the hall. As it is near a major tourist bridge, be respectful and keep out of the hall during prayer unless worshipping.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
- Line 1 Xiguan （西关站）
Take any bus to Zhongshan Bridge (中山桥) or Xiguan Shizi (西关什字) and walk a few minutes south into Qiaomen Lane.
A 10-minute walk north from the Xiguan Hui quarter toward Zhongshan Bridge; the mosque is in the lanes just south of the bridge.
About 1.5 km northwest of Dongfanghong Square; roughly 10 minutes by taxi, or Metro Line 1 to Xiguan then a short walk north toward the river and Zhongshan Bridge.
Combine a visit with the famous Zhongshan Iron Bridge and the Yellow River waterfront. Taxi phrase: 请带我去桥门街清真大寺。
