📜 About & history
Also known as the Small Prayer Mosque, Nanxiapo Mosque was built in the early Kangxi era of the Qing (late 17th century) with funds raised by local Hui merchants of the Ma family. It was repaired and repainted in 1986. The main hall covers 132 square metres and the mosque preserves a plaque reading 'Gangwei Erwu' handwritten by Prince Qing Yikuang in 1902; it is a Chaoyang District protected cultural relic.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
- Line 2 Chaoyangmen （朝阳门站） Exit A
Bus 44 to Yabao Road, then walk east into Yabao Road street; the mosque is in a hutong opposite Tianya Tower.
Yabao Road is a well-known Russian/Central Asian trade district; the mosque sits just off it, walkable for traders in the area.
From central Beijing take Metro Line 2 to Chaoyangmen, then a short taxi or walk toward Chaoyangmenwai Nanxiapo near Yabao Road.
