Mapingjie Mosque was first built in 1671, the tenth year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing dynasty, on the western flank of Camel Hill in what is now Seven Star Park. The mosque fell into disrepair over time and was rebuilt and enlarged between 1985 and 1987. Today it comprises a main prayer hall, scripture hall, ablution house, reception hall, a bangke (minaret) tower and imam's quarters, with a total floor area of about 1,127 square metres. It remains one of the active mosques serving Guilin's Hui community on the east bank of the Lijiang River.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
Near Seven Star Park (Qixing Gongyuan) on the east bank of the Lijiang River; enter via the lanes on the west side of Camel Hill.
Ask for Seven Star Park (七星公园); the mosque is in the residential lanes just west of Camel Hill inside/near the park.
Cross the Lijiang River to the east bank toward Seven Star Park; the mosque sits in Mapingjie lane west of Camel Hill.
