📜 About & history
The Hepingtai Grand Mosque serves the Hui Muslim residents of the Jingyuan Road and Jincheng Road area in the northeast of Chengguan District, near the Yellow River in eastern Lanzhou. It is one of the neighbourhood congregational mosques that grew with the eastward expansion of the city's Muslim population in the twentieth century. The mosque functions as the local centre for daily prayers, festivals and religious education. It is registered with the Lanzhou municipal ethnic and religious affairs authorities.
🕌 Prayer & visiting
Five daily prayers and Friday Jumu'ah (midday) are held; wudu facilities are available. Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered; headscarf for women) and remove shoes before entering the hall. Visit outside prayer times unless you are attending prayer.
