📜 About & history
A mosque was first built at Dingjiaxiang by a Hui ancestor who settled in Hefei during the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty, but was destroyed by war. In 1956 more than two mu of land in Lizhi Alley near Dadongmen was acquired to build the present Crescent Tower Mosque, which has served as the core of Hefei's Muslim community ever since.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
Many city buses stop near Dadongmen / Huaihe Road; get off at Dadongmen (大东门) stop.
Central location a short taxi or bus ride from Tianfu-style downtown; show the driver the Chinese address 合肥市庐阳区大东门丽芝巷.
Halal restaurants and Hui snack stalls cluster around the mosque and Huaihe Road. Chinese and some Arabic (Qur'anic) spoken.
