📜 About & history
The Gurun Mosque descends from a mosque first founded in the second year of the Tang Zhenguan era (628), reputedly one of China's oldest. Its site shifted over the centuries — from the Ren'an Fang / Jianzi Lane area near the Grand Canal — before the historic building was lost in the 1970s. In 2005 it was rebuilt on Xuefu Road in Jingkou District, modeled on the original. Rare relics survive, including a Tang stone well-curb and Song-Yuan qibla steles inscribed in three Arabic scripts.

From central Zhenjiang, Xuefu Road lies in the eastern Jingkou university area; a taxi from the city center takes roughly 15-20 minutes.
