📜 About & history

Founded in the Ming dynasty, the mosque of Dahuicun ('Great Hui Village') stands about 21 km north-west of Tonghai county town. The present complex covers roughly 2,320 sq m on a site of some 52 mu. Together with the nearby Najiaying and Nagu mosques it forms part of the dense Hui religious landscape of Tonghai, one of Yunnan's most concentrated Muslim districts.
