The Great Gongbei is the mausoleum complex of Qi Jingyi (1656-1719), founding master in China of the Qadiriyya (Gadelinye) Sufi order, first built in 1720. It is one of Linxia's celebrated 'Eight Great Gongbei' and the principal Qadiriyya centre in China. The complex holds a three-tier octagonal domed tomb (bagua jinding) alongside a mosque, memorial archways, scripture hall and gardens, and is a treasury of Linxia Hui brick carving.

Active Sufi shrine and mosque; daily prayers and Friday Jumu'ah held. Sermons in Chinese. As a religious site rather than a tourist attraction, modest dress and quiet respect are expected.

Central Linxia city buses stop near Hongyuan/Bafang; walkable from the Bafang Shisan Xiang old Muslim quarter.
Linxia's Muslim traders concentrate around the Bafang Shisan Xiang quarter; the gongbei is within walking distance of it.
In central Linxia City beside the Bafang Shisan Xiang old town. A few minutes by taxi from the city centre, or a short walk from the Bafang quarter.
Surrounded by the Bafang old town with abundant halal beef-noodle, lamb and Hui snack shops. Chinese widely spoken; some Arabic religious vocabulary among clergy.
