Ningde

Ningde is a coastal prefecture in northeastern Fujian facing the East China Sea, historically a fishing and farming region known as Mindong. In recent decades it has transformed into a global battery capital as the headquarters of CATL, the world's largest maker of electric-vehicle batteries. The city is China's leading producer of farmed large yellow croaker fish. Its scenery includes the wide flat 'water carpet' of Baishuiyang and the granite peaks of Taimu Mountain. The photogenic Xiapu mudflats are a magnet for landscape photographers.
