Fuyang

Fuyang is a populous prefecture on the Ying River in northwestern Anhui, one of China's major sources of migrant labor and grain. Its Yingzhou West Lake was praised by the Song poets Ouyang Xiu and Su Shi, both of whom served as prefects here. The city is a growing high-speed rail hub linking Beijing, Zhengzhou, Hefei and the coast. Local street food such as gela tiao noodles and sha tang soup is a distinctive part of northern Anhui cuisine. Fuyang Xiguan Airport provides domestic flights to major Chinese cities.
