Beihai is a seaside city on the Gulf of Tonkin in southern Guangxi, a former Silk Road port now known for its long Silver Beach and the volcanic Weizhou Island offshore. It has a tropical monsoon climate with warm winters. An airport and high-speed rail connect it to Nanning.
