ℹ️ About
A historic trading quarter in Zhoucun District of Zibo that prospered from the Ming and Qing dynasties as a centre for silk, money-exchange houses and inland trade, earning the names 'dry-land port', 'golden Zhoucun' and 'home of silk'. Its old streets such as Dajie and Yinzi Street are lined with intact shopfronts, traditional banks and merchant courtyards, and Chinese architectural conservation specialists have called it a living museum of Chinese commercial architecture. Many period television dramas are filmed here, and its best known products are the paper-thin Zhoucun sesame shaobing biscuit and Zhoucun wine. The site was upgraded to a national 5A scenic area in December 2024.
