A national 5A-rated wetland reserve in Kenli District, Dongying, Shandong, at the mouth of the Yellow River, designated in January 2020. It protects one of the youngest and fastest-growing river-delta wetlands on earth, gaining roughly 13.8 square kilometres of new land a year as sediment builds the coastline, and shelters more than 1,500 recorded wildlife species, including tamarisk groves and vast reed marshes that make it a major stopover for migratory birds, with peak birdwatching in April and October.
