A vast imperial necropolis spread over about 50 km² at the foot of the Helan Mountains west of Yinchuan, holding nine imperial mausoleums and some 250 tombs of relatives and officials of the Western Xia dynasty (1038-1227). Its earthen mounds rise like squat pagodas; it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2025.
