ℹ️ About

A living cultural landscape of ancient tea forests, tea gardens, natural woodland and traditional Blang and Dai villages on Jingmai Mountain in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County. Tea trees have been grown here under the forest canopy for roughly a thousand years using an inherited understorey cultivation system that does not clear the forest. On 17 September 2023 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as China's 57th World Heritage property and the world's first World Heritage site dedicated to tea culture. Nuogan, Jingmai Dazhai and Mangjing villages are the main stops, along with the tea-picking seasons and the dawn sea of clouds.
