A national 5A-rated coastal resort area on Hailing Island off Yangjiang, Guangdong, approved in October 2015. Its main beach, Dajiao Bay, is a horn-shaped curve of soft sand about 2.5 kilometres long, ringed by hills on three sides and opening onto the South China Sea. The scenic area also includes Mawei Island and the Zhapo fishing harbour, and is promoted as a stop on the historic Maritime Silk Road.
