🚇 Getting to the city centre
Largest airport in Northwest China, ~40 km northwest of the city. Metro Line 14 runs direct to Xi'an North Railway Station in ~40 min (CNY 2-7), then Line 2 to the Bell Tower downtown. Airport buses to the city centre take ~1 hr. Taxi ~CNY 120-150, 50-70 min.

Northwest China's hub to the Middle East and Central Asia. New Terminal 5 is the main international building. Prayer rooms and halal food widely available (regional cuisine is largely halal). Direct flights to Dubai and Doha.
🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations
Xi'an North Railway Station: The best option is Metro Line 14 straight from the airport to the North Station with no transfer; about 40 minutes for ¥7, the fastest and cheapest. A taxi is far, about ¥120.
Xi'an Railway Station: Take Line 14 and transfer to Line 4 to reach this in-city station for about ¥9 in roughly an hour, or an airport bus direct to Xi'an Station for about ¥25.
Xi'an East Railway Station: A new station reachable by metro via Line 14 with a transfer for about ¥9–10; a taxi is about ¥100.
