Getting to the city centre

The airport is in Donghe District, about 8 km southeast of old central Baotou. No metro; reach the city by airport bus or taxi (about 20-30 min and 30-50 RMB).

🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations

Baotou Donghe International Airport (BAV) is in Donghe district, while the main station is about 17 km to the west.
Baotou Railway Station (regular and high-speed): there is no direct airport bus to this main station; the best option is a taxi, about 30 minutes for around ¥35. Public buses require two changes (line 30 then line 50) and take about 1 hour 50 minutes despite being very cheap (about ¥1).
